After helping to launch Grace Community Church, and then the Village Community Church, Philip and Beth Bryant sensed God leading them to move their familiy from the Greater Toronto Area to Canada’s West Coast. After settling in the Lower Mainland of the Vancouver Area, an amazing series of events – including the partnership of Cedar Grove Baptist Church – culminated in the launch of Community of Hope Church on September 9, 2007.

Community of Hope has grown to become a people who are learning new ways to bring God’s love into the Newton area of Surrey and the North Delta Community. Then in the fall of 2008, Community of Hope launched Awana, a Sunday evening Ministry for children. The church also began the Freedom Session ministry in 2008 which aims to bring hope and healing to those who are broken and hurting.

Philip continues his role as lead pastor, joined by Jason Strain, pastor of creative arts; Wes Isaak, pastoral assistant; and church planting interns, Cheryl & Shane Edwards who are following God’s call to plant a new church in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
